In a city where a large amount of the population walks to their destinations every day, one would think drivers would be highly cautious and aware of the pedestrians around them. However, these accidents are very much a reality, and sadly, those involved in an auto-pedestrian car accident are often left severely or fatally wounded.
Four people are in the hospital after an SUV driver lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a popular chicken restaurant in Brooklyn on Jan. 12. New York authorities are still trying to determine how the driver lost control, but have not issued any citations as of this writing. The car accident caused considerable damage to the restaurant in addition to some personal injuries.
A woman was tragically killed following a two-car wreck on Dec. 26, according to local police sources. New York authorities say their investigation into this car accident is ongoing at the time of this report, and no charges have been filed so far. The woman has been identified as a 56-year-old Queens resident.
An accident in western New York has left two people dead, according to authorities. New York State police responded to the fatal car accident around 2 in the morning on Dec. 30 and found both occupants dead. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but it does not appear that any other vehicles were involved.
